Expert DevOps Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Expert DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Expert DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Work in DevOps team to build new and tune current cloud infrastructure
• Create an automated Deployment Pipeline to ship applications and infrastructure to production
• Collaborate with developers, QA and architects to build the pipeline
• Provide clear reporting of the pipeline's status to all teams
• Troubleshoot issues and remove blockers with the pipeline or infrastructure
• Measure the pipeline and use this data to prioritize work to continually improve it
• Provide centralized monitoring, logging, reporting and alerting tooling for development teams
• Contribute transformation initiatives for infrastructure, logging, monitoring, OKE and CICD
• Collaborate on call duties and support environment and issues with DevOps tech stack
• Support releases and deployments to production
• Involve with automation projects with serverless technologies like Oracle Functions
• Provide runbooks, procedures and technical reports for other colleagues and teams
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers within teams for resolving issues and clearing blockers, prioritizing changes, providing environments, release flow refinements, quality gates implementation refinements, and versioning refinements

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning and deployment on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); using services like OKE, OCI Database, OCI Load Balancing, OCI Compute, OCI Object Storage, OCI Edge Services/CDN, OCI DNS, etc
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge
• Good experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Packer
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI or similar in developing and maintaining CI/CD processes for applications deployed to a cloud
• Good experience with Infrastructure as Code using automation tools/configuration management systems like Terraform (OCI Provider) or OCI Resource Manager
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring technologies such as OCI Logging & Monitoring, DataDog and/or DynaTrace. Other desirable skills include NewRelic, Prometheus, ELK stack and so on
• Strong knowledge of best DevOps practices and methodologies
• English upper-intermediate and higher
• Good documentation and communication skills using Confluence
• Good to have experience supporting CDN tools like OCI CDN, Akamai, CloudFront, etc. with experience automating these tools
• Software development background is desirable

Desirable:

• Building big OCI infrastructure from scratch
• Experience with large-scale, real-time applications
• Experience building and deploying complex systems to the Cloud
• Experience with leading edge CDN solutions and monitoring solutions such as Akamai, DynaTrace, and OCI Observability & Management
