Job description
Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in governance to join our team at Hitachi Digital Global India Private Limited. This role will be responsible for leading and managing IT projects with a focus on establishing and maintaining robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, and driving efficient project execution within a global context.
Responsibilities**
* Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure, with a particular emphasis on governance aspects. * Develop, implement, and maintain project governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure project alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. * Define and establish clear project roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes. * Facilitate and lead governance meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting minutes, and tracking action items. * Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalation paths within the governance framework. * Monitor project progress, budget, and resource utilization, and report regularly to stakeholders on performance against established governance metrics. * Ensure adherence to internal and external compliance standards, including data privacy, security, and quality assurance. * Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, vendors, and auditors, to ensure effective project delivery and governance. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project management and governance processes. * Manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to governance requirements.
Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable. * Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT project management * Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from conception to completion within a structured governance framework. * Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and best practices. * In-depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001). * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement. * Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and governance tools. * Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment.
