About the Role

OnPath is MedRisk’s intelligent bill routing and network optimization solution for workers’ compensation medical bill review. This role takes ownership of the recurring analytical and enablement work so product leaders can focus on strategy and delivery.

A client asks a question. You work out what they are really asking, write it up so our data team can act on it, check what comes back, and turn it into something the client can use. You own the timeline and chase the open items across internal teams and outside partners until the work is finished.

This is an analytical role with a client-facing edge. You will spend real time on the data and also sit on client calls to present findings and answer questions on the spot, working to priorities set by Product Management. It suits someone who knows when a number needs a second look, can explain how they got there without jargon, and stays with a problem until it is closed. Excel is the analytical tool for the job.

What You Will Do

Client engagement and requirements

  • Work with clients, account teams and service delivery to understand the business question behind a request, rather than just the data being asked for
  • Join client calls to walk through findings, answer questions live, and take requirements directly from the client
  • Translate that question into a written request for the data team, covering scope, population, states, date range, metric definitions and output format
  • Answer the data team’s follow-up questions and track requests through to delivery against client commitments
  • Capture decisions and action items from enhancement and design sessions, and write them up as requirements the delivery teams can work from

Analysis and quality assurance

  • Analyze returned data to answer questions on routing performance, network savings, reduction rates and reconsideration activity
  • Check each analysis before it goes out. Reconcile the totals, confirm the savings categorization and the state and network logic, and make sure it answers the question that was asked
  • Flag outliers and gaps with supporting detail, and follow variances until the cause is understood

Client reporting and deliverables

  • Build and maintain recurring client deliverables in Excel and PowerPoint, including network mosaic comparisons, savings and reconsideration reporting, projection versus actuals, and account status decks
  • Quantify and report savings generated by OnPath routing, with trending analysis and recommendations
  • Translate routing, repricing and cascade logic into plain language that account teams and clients can act on

Project management and follow-through

  • Own delivery timelines for client requests and product workstreams, and hold them against competing priorities
  • Coordinate across data, analytics, operations, compliance and account teams to keep multi-party deliverables moving
  • Maintain the request and open item trackers, with owners and due dates, covering internal work as well as outstanding deliverables and defects with routing partners
  • Produce the recurring status reporting that keeps clients and internal teams aligned, and follow up on each open item until it closes
  • Log production issues, stay with them through triage, and keep the affected teams posted

Product enablement and training

  • Maintain content for the client-facing dashboard, including page descriptions, FAQs and access coordination
  • Author and maintain methodology documentation, configuration references and release notes
  • Train internal teams on how OnPath routing works, what the outputs mean, and how to read the client-facing dashboard
  • Build and maintain training material, job aids and internal FAQs, and onboard new account and client-facing team members to the product
  • Act as a day-to-day resource for account teams, service delivery managers and internal partners with questions about OnPath results

Sales and prospect support

  • Support requests for proposal and prospect analysis with network and savings summaries, use cases and one-pagers

What You Bring

Required

  • An analytical background, with three to five years in an analyst, business analyst or reporting role, ideally in healthcare, insurance, managed care or claims
  • Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and reconciling data from more than one source, plus strong PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to turn a loosely worded business question into a clear request someone else can execute, and to review the finished analysis for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Accurate with financial and operational data, and inclined to reconcile a figure before publishing it
  • Clear communication, including presenting findings to clients and explaining methodology to people who do not work with data
  • Able to hold a timeline, coordinate people who do not report to you, and chase open items until they are closed

Preferred

  • Workers’ compensation medical bill review, PPO network, or payment integrity background
  • Familiarity with provider data concepts including TIN, NPI, CPT, state fee schedules and participating versus non-participating logic
  • Experience viewing or maintaining reports in Power BI or a similar tool
  • Jira or a comparable work management tool
  • Experience in a client-facing role such as client success, account management or service delivery
  • Exposure to vendor or partner coordination

What Success Looks Like in the First Year

  • Requests reach the data team complete and unambiguous, and come back needing fewer rounds of rework
  • Recurring client reporting is delivered on a predictable cadence and is accurate on first pass
  • Able to walk a client through the reporting unaided, explain what changed when a report is updated or modified and why, and answer the follow-up questions without escalating
  • Product documentation and dashboard content stay current without prompting
  • Open items close on schedule, and clients are not left waiting on follow-up
  • The product team spends measurably more time on roadmap work and less on support and stabilization
