We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support the administration and ongoing development of Vena, a financial planning and performance management platform. This role will serve as a primary point of contact for Vena, helping ensure that data, processes, and reporting remain accurate and reliable.
The role will manage recurring data loads, user administration, system support, and planning-cycle activities while identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes. You will work closely with Finance, IT, analytics, and engineering teams. Beyond core Vena responsibilities, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to broader data and analytics initiatives, giving you exposure to our enterprise data strategy and potential career growth into data and analytics work.
Key Responsibilities
Vena Administration & Support
- Manage Vena user administration, including onboarding, access, and user inactivation.
- Coordinate with IT on single sign-on and other system access needs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Vena questions, issues, and troubleshooting.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Vena forms and workflows.
- Maintain appropriate discretion when working with sensitive financial and employee data.
Data & System Operations
- Manage recurring data and metadata loads across Vena cubes.
- Load and reconcile financial, payroll, production, and other operational data.
- Support monthly, budgeting, and year-end processes within Vena and related systems.
- Maintain and update cubes as business requirements and the chart of accounts change.
- Perform periodic data cleanup and other activities that support data quality and system performance.
ETL & Automation
- Build and maintain Vena ETL jobs, including data sources, tables, mappings, and templates.
- Improve and automate recurring data-loading and administrative processes.
- Work with analytics and engineering teams to troubleshoot data flows and implement changes.
- Use SQL, ETL, automation, or other data tools to support data and process automation where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement & Additional Support
- Document recurring processes, data flows, and system procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, efficiency, and automation.
- Support enhancements and new functionality within Vena.
- Contribute to broader data and analytics initiatives as capacity and priorities allow.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with financial data, business systems, reporting, or data processes.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and troubleshoot problems independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Experience with Vena or another FP&A, financial planning, or enterprise performance management system is a plus.
- Experience with SQL, ETL, automation, or other data tools is a plus.
