Our shared services accounting team is seeking an experienced financial analyst to join us in our Houston, TX or Salt Lake City, UT offices. The financial analyst will be responsible for identifying areas of concern/opportunity and recommend corrective actions across strategy, finance and operations by analyzing results and variances and identifying trends. Will also provide financial planning and analysis of sales, cost of goods sold, contribution margins, cost center spending, expenses and capital expenditures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify areas of concern/opportunity and recommend corrective actions across strategy, finance and operations by analyzing results and variances and identifying trends.
  • Provide financial analysis of sales, cost of good sold, contribution margins, cost center spending, expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Reconcile balances and transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Provide information to amanagement by assembling and summarzing data, preparing reports, making presentation of findings, analyses and recommendations.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Create / support financial models to analyze "what if" scenarios.
  • Calculate and assess returns on investments of new projects and opportunities.
  • Assist in supporting quarter-end and year-end reviews/audits conducted by independent auditors.
  • Recognizing areas of need and implementing process improvements and efficiencies, developing automated applications, eliminating duplications and coordinating information requirements.
  • Assisting in ERP system upgrades/implementation
  • Other financial and accounting projects as needed.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of core accounting principles, practices and financial concepts
  • Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent problem solving skills.
  • SAP FI/CO experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance a must.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualified candidates can expect to earn between $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.
