Senior Technical Business Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst based in United States.

The Senior Technical Business Analyst will bridge business needs and technical delivery across digital modernization initiatives. This role partners directly with product owners, business users, developers, QA teams, and other analysts to turn complex requirements into actionable delivery plans. You’ll investigate existing applications, APIs, data flows, and system behavior to build a clear understanding of how technology supports business processes. The position combines requirements analysis, technical investigation, documentation, backlog management, and user acceptance testing. You’ll help engineering teams move forward by resolving ambiguity and defining clear user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria. The role also provides an opportunity to actively adopt AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, quality, and team practices. Accountabilities:

• Partner directly with product owners and business users to uncover, clarify, analyze, and document application requirements for digital modernization initiatives.

• Translate business needs and technical findings into clear user stories, workflow diagrams, acceptance criteria, backlog items, and supporting documentation for software engineering teams.

• Analyze API-driven integrations, including request and response flows, to understand how backend services support application functionality and business processes.

• Review SQL queries to identify data inputs, relationships, and expected outputs, while writing basic queries when necessary to support requirements analysis.

• Independently research existing functionality across Jira, Confluence, Figma, GitHub, and live applications to build context, validate assumptions, and surface informed questions.

• Collaborate closely with developers to resolve technical ambiguity and continuously update tickets with actionable requirements and well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Use AI tools, including Claude and other emerging technologies, to streamline analysis, improve work quality, experiment with new workflows, and share effective practices with teammates.

• Partner with QA teams to establish functional test success criteria and guide business users through User Acceptance Testing.

• Help establish consistent conventions for requirements, tickets, workflows, and documentation while operating effectively in an environment where processes may still be evolving.

• Collaborate with multiple Business Analysts, adapting to different working styles while maintaining alignment across shared application areas.

• Apply experience from regulated or high-compliance environments to support strong documentation, traceability, governance, and delivery practices.

• Provide project oversight and support the successful execution of assigned deliverables while maintaining a strong focus on client expectations and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bring strong experience in technical business analysis, requirements gathering, software delivery, or a closely related discipline, with the ability to connect business objectives to technical solutions.

• Demonstrate a consultative approach to problem solving and the ability to align digital solutions with clients’ long-term business goals.

• Have a full understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience working with software engineering and delivery teams.

• Be comfortable investigating applications, APIs, data relationships, workflows, and technical documentation to develop a detailed understanding of existing systems.

• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrate hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance daily work, or a strong willingness to experiment with, learn, adopt, and champion AI-enabled ways of working.

• Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification is highly preferred, with an opportunity to obtain certification as part of the role.

• Be available to work Central Time hours to support collaboration with client and delivery teams.

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and stakeholders in a high-growth environment.

• Bring the flexibility and adaptability needed to operate effectively while processes, tools, and organizational priorities continue to evolve.

• Have the ability to lead, mentor, motivate, coach, or positively influence colleagues through collaboration, presentations, and knowledge sharing.

• Experience working in regulated or high-compliance environments is valuable, particularly where documentation and traceability are important.

• Be highly collaborative and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
