Systems Analyst

Ventia is seeking a motivated and technology-focused Systems Analyst to join our Defence Transformation team supporting technology solutions across some of Australia's most important Defence contracts. Reporting to the System Technology Manager, this role sits within a specialist technology team that supports the systems and applications used across Ventia's Defence operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their systems analyst, business systems, SAP or technology career who is looking to develop their skills in system integration, digital solutions and enterprise applications. We're open to candidates with the right attitude and foundational experience, and we're willing to provide training and development to help you grow.
About the Role
As Systems Analyst, you'll support the technology platforms that enable the delivery of services across Ventia's Defence contracts. You'll work closely with operational stakeholders, end users and technology specialists to ensure systems are maintained, enhanced and operating effectively.
Your focus will include supporting mobile applications, digital forms, workflow solutions and system integrations while helping improve business processes across the Defence portfolio. The role will also support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, leveraging automation technologies to streamline routine processes, improve efficiency and reduce manual effort across Defence operations.
Essential Requirements
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance.
- National Police Check.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting business applications, mobile solutions and digital forms used across Defence contracts.
- Assisting with system integrations and data flows between platforms.
- Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting testing, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Creating and maintaining system documentation and user guides.
- Assisting with technology projects and solution implementations.
- Providing user support and training where required.
- Working with internal technology teams and vendors to improve system performance and user experience.
About You
We're looking for someone with a passion for technology and a willingness to learn. You may have experience in systems analysis, business applications, IT support, asset management systems or enterprise software environments.
You'll Bring:
- Experience working with business systems, applications or technology platforms.
- An interest in systems integration, digital solutions, automation technologies or process improvement.
- Exposure to or familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow automation tools or process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- The ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP, asset management systems or enterprise applications will be highly regarded but is not essential.
