Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Manager in the Cloud+AI Microsoft Specialized Clouds team. This team is responsible for deploying and operating services, including the infrastructure that supports collaboration and mission critical workloads. The work directly contributes to Microsoft’s sovereign cloud capabilities, ensuring platforms can operate independently when required while remaining aligned with the core Azure ecosystem.
In this role, you will partner closely with engineering teams. The systems and software you build will be required to meet the security policy and assurance requirements of customers. You will help shape systems and processes that assume zero trust by default that are scalable, repeatable sovereign capabilities. Your work will support both public sector and regulated commercial customers as Microsoft evolves its cloud architecture to meet the next generation of sovereignty expectations.

Responsibilities As a Senior Technical Product Manager, your mission is to turn problems and gaps into the capabilities of tomorrow. You will be responsible for defining capabilities and partnering with engineering counterparts to deliver and operate them. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and define the product roadmap to ensure our offerings meets those needs.
As a part of a growing team, your responsibilities will include:
- Product Strategy: You will help shape our cloud roadmap by translating customer needs into scalable capabilities, tools, and processes. This role partners closely with customers and sales teams to gather signals, lead requirements workshops, and advise on solution design and deployment. As the voice of the customer, you will synthesize customer and market insights to drive clear prioritization decisions, ensuring strong return on investment and alignment with Microsoft’s strategy. You will collaborate across engineering and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and maximize business value.
- Architecture: You will help mature the cloud architecture, identify opportunities for design optimization, and ensure our cloud is positioned to scale.
- Communications: You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining regular communications about the status of our cloud and upcoming developments. In addition, you will be able to conduct insightful conversations with senior business and technical decision makers inside and outside Microsoft.
- Team Collaboration: You will pull stakeholders together to align on a shared vision, working with a talented and diverse group of PMs, Developers, and internal teams that rely on our services to be successful. You must be a great collaborator, able to work effectively across broad teams and influence stakeholders of all levels and of all disciplines across Microsoft. Ability to engage colleagues across a large, diverse, and distributed organization to drive decisive action that delivers results for expanding the market for Azure across international boundaries.

Qualifications Required / Miniumum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development• Or equivalent experience.

- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of software development, product management, or technical program management with a strong track record of shipping products and services.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity.
- Previous experience and success in an engineering role where you delivered cloud services.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, cross-group collaboration, communications, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Passion and proven record for execution with measurable results; focus on delivering impact.
- Proven interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success.
- Ability to work successfully across a complex, highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated capability in verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
