Ocuco is seeking a talented and experienced Solution Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Dublin HQ. Reporting directly to the Head of Solution Architecture, this role is pivotal in driving sales success by bridging the gap between commercial and technical teams. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales and Product Management to understand customer challenges, shape solution roadmaps, and showcase how Ocuco’s software can meet client needs. This is a strategic, customer-facing role that combines technical acumen with excellent communication skills. As a key member of the go-to-market function, this person will contribute to product feedback loops, support complex sales opportunities, and play an integral role in onboarding new customers and validating market demand for emerging solutions. Core Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand prospects’ needs and craft compelling value propositions.
  • Lead discovery sessions to uncover technical and business requirements.
  • Develop and deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proposal content that align with customer pain points and business goals.

Solution Design:

  • Translate customer challenges into tailored, scalable solutions using Ocuco’s product portfolio.
  • Configure and adapt software environments to showcase relevant features and integrations.
  • Provide technical recommendations and architecture guidance, including integration with third-party systems and existing customer workflows.

Technical Expertise:

  • Act as the technical subject matter expert during sales cycles, addressing detailed product, integration, and infrastructure questions.
  • Liaise between customer stakeholders and internal teams to ensure alignment and clarity.

Proof of Concept (PoC):

  • Design and deliver PoCs or pilot implementations to validate technical fit and demonstrate product capabilities in a live environment.
  • Support test cases, evaluation criteria, and success measurement during the pilot phase.

Post-Sale Handoff and Onboarding:

  • Support a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation by sharing detailed solution context with onboarding and support teams.
  • Maintain involvement during early deployment phases to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales or Solution Consulting role in a B2B SaaS, Enterprise Software or Healthcare IT environment
  • Experience working closely with sales teams and customers to design and present software solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and manage customer expectations
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate actionable insights
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions, including Product, Sales, and Engineering
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Fluency in another major European language will be a huge plus
  • A preference for a high intensity, high energy work environment
