Mission
The mission of the PMO (Project Management Office) team is to ensure the disciplined and consistent delivery of IT projects and programs across the organization. This involves supporting business partners and IT teams in structuring, planning, and executing initiatives that translate strategic objectives into measurable outcomes. By applying standardized project management methodologies, governance, and reporting, the PMO ensures that technology investments are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business value.
Additionally, this team focuses on strengthening organizational project discipline and ensuring visibility, risk control, and stakeholder alignment across the IT project portfolio. This involves proactively identifying risks and dependencies, and providing clear, timely reporting that supports informed decision-making by leadership.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects related to Information Systems, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives
- Define and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation in coordination with project sponsors and delivery teams
- Ensure that project governance, methodology, and documentation standards defined by the PMO are consistently applied
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating when appropriate to ensure timely resolution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Applications, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders, to ensure aligned execution
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, steering committee materials, and portfolio dashboards to sponsors and leadership
- Manage project budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering committees, ensuring clear communication and documented decisions
- Support change management activities, ensuring adoption and minimizing disruption to business operations
- Ensure proper project closure, including lessons learned, documentation handover, and benefits realization tracking
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, within Information Systems
- Project management certification is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working closely with cross-functional IT and business teams
- Familiarity with project management and portfolio tools
- Knowledge of IT best practices and the software development lifecycle
