Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Field Services Project Manager.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Field Services Project Manager to direct the execution of startup and commissioning projects for large data center clients. These projects will be completed in conjunction with our District Operations Centers (DOC’s), with the Project Manager overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, control, and job closure activities.

In this position you will:

  • Oversee tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Receive job handoffs and complete initial technical, scope of work, and scheduling requirement reviews.
  • Utilize necessary project management tools, software, and other resources to maintain adherence to key milestones and deliverables on site.
  • Own coordination of project meetings (internal and external) and formal communication plans to key project stakeholders
  • Coordinate and navigate Eaton scheduling and work activities around other trades, driving execution efficiencies for Eaton and customer
  • Determine mechanisms required for successful job closeout (punch lists / issue resolution, internal warranty, transition to owner or other entity).
  • Serve as primary point of contact throughout duration of EESS activities on site.
  • Collaborate with DOC team to communicate any safety program initiatives, concerns, or oversights to customer, contractor, and subcontractor stakeholders.
  • Provide financial oversight through cost control, warranty, change order management, and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with commercial operations teams, including North American Sales (NAS) Project Management Organization, sales engineers, and EESS Technical Application Support (TAS) organization to reconcile client expectations with order commitments, change orders, and timelines.
  • Implement and cascade requirements associated with any program level initiatives or changes from technical program managers within the Strategic Operations organization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members; demonstrate advanced project management, operational and commercial competencies to help develop team effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess High School Diploma/G.E.D. or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and/or managing electrical, construction, or industrial projects; or 5 years’ experience in services, sales, or manufacturing of electrical distribution products
  • This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification
  • 7-10 electrical field services experience
  • 5+ years managing electrical construction or commissioning projects as project manager or construction manager
  • Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages
  • OSHA 10 & 30 hour general industry or construction certification

Additional Information:

Travel requirements: approximately 50%; with preference for staffing within home region. No relocation benefit will be provided for this position. Only candidates that reside within 50 miles of a major airport will be considered due to the travel requirements.
