Senior Software Engineer (React)

Your mission

We are looking for a Senior VTEX Engineer with extensive experience designing, implementing, and migrating enterprise e-commerce solutions. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in the VTEX ecosystem, advanced React knowledge, and proven experience working directly with clients and teams based in the United States.

The ideal candidate combines solid technical depth with autonomy, strong communication skills, and the ability to participate in complex implementations and migrations from discovery through production.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce solutions using VTEX.
• Lead or actively participate in end-to-end VTEX implementations and migrations.
• Develop and customize storefront experiences using React and the VTEX ecosystem.
• Analyze existing e-commerce platforms and define migration strategies, technical approaches, risks, and dependencies.
• Integrate VTEX with third-party services, APIs, payment providers, ERP, CRM, and other business systems.
• Collaborate directly with US-based clients, product teams, designers, and other engineers.
• Translate business and functional requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and identify sustainable solutions.
• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, estimations, and implementation planning.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, code reviews, testing, documentation, and performance optimization.
• Support and mentor other engineers when needed.

Your profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience working with VTEX.
• Proven experience delivering complete VTEX implementations and migration projects in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern front-end development.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, APIs, integrations, and e-commerce architecture.
• Experience collaborating directly with US-based clients or teams.
• Strong spoken and written English, with the ability to participate confidently in technical and client-facing conversations.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
