Senior Java Developer – Digital Health

Twoday is looking for experienced Java Developers to join our Digital Engineering organisation and work with business-critical solutions within the Danish healthcare sector.

You will join a complex development and delivery environment where stability, security, integration and maintainability are essential.

The role

You will develop, maintain and modernise Java-based systems and integrations supporting critical healthcare processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining enterprise applications using Java and Spring
  • Designing and implementing REST and SOAP APIs and integrations
  • Working with relational databases and data-intensive applications
  • Developing and maintaining event-driven integrations
  • Working with technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ where relevant
  • Modernising existing applications and reducing technical debt
  • Writing automated unit and integration tests
  • Participating in code reviews and technical design
  • Supporting CI/CD, deployment and production operations
  • Troubleshooting complex production issues
  • Working closely with architects, DevOps Engineers, testers and other development teams
  • Collaborating across organisational and supplier boundaries

What we're looking for

You have:

  • Strong professional experience with Java
  • Experience with Spring and preferably Spring Boot
  • Strong experience with REST APIs and system integrations
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with Git and modern development workflows
  • Experience with automated testing and quality assurance
  • Experience with Linux and containerised environments
  • Understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery
  • Experience from complex enterprise or public sector systems

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or Infrastructure as Code is an advantage.

Experience from digital healthcare is particularly valuable. We are especially interested in developers who have worked with national healthcare solutions, healthcare integrations, healthcare data or other critical systems within the Danish healthcare sector.

Experience from multi-supplier delivery environments is an advantage.

Fluent Danish, both written and spoken, is required.

You must be able to work onsite at the customer location in Copenhagen when required.
