Join Gallup’s DevOps team for a summer of hands-on learning and real project work. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to our cloud environment and strengthen the skills you’re developing in the classroom.
What You’ll Do
During your internship, you will:
- Use the latest cloud technologies to modernize infrastructure
- Migrate workloads to the cloud by coding, testing, implementing and supporting infrastructure automation services on Gallup’s global platform
- Build and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in GitHub Actions that automate how teams build, test and deploy code
- Work with containers and infrastructure as code using tools like Docker, Amazon ECS and Terraform
- Collaborate with a progressive technology team — DevOps engineers, cloud engineers, network engineers and system administrators
- Set up integration and support cloud environments with the end user always in mind
What You Need
- Enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s or graduate degree program in computer science, MIS or a related field required
- Basic knowledge of and experience with AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure required
- Basic knowledge of and experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions required
- Basic knowledge of and/or experience with Windows or Linux server administration, networking or infrastructure required
- Classroom or professional experience working with one or more of the following technologies required: IIS, Python, .NET, .NET Core, Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins, PowerShell, Docker, Amazon ECS, GitHub, GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts such as automated builds, testing and deployment pipelines preferred
- Enrollment at a college or university within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, required
- Anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028 preferred; will consider 2029 graduates
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 required
- A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Omaha office Monday through Thursday required, with the option to work remotely on Friday
- Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
