Your mission

Purpose of the Position You shape the digital customer experience of our international E-Mobility Provider (EMP) platform. You turn complex requirements into simple, intuitive, and consistent user experiences—from finding a charging point and starting a charging session to payment. In doing so, you combine customer needs with business objectives and technical possibilities. You lead the product discovery and experience design process—from exploring problems and validating concepts to defining interaction principles and measuring outcomes and bring them to life with UI Designers within the development team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Shape the customer journey & experience of our digital products and ensure consistent interactions across the app and with other interfaces like our charging infrastructure
  • Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, and research across countries, user groups, and charging situations
  • Combine user research, product data, and Customer Service insights into concrete improvements
  • Translate requirements into flows, information architectures, wireframes, and prototypes and validate ideas early
  • Design intuitive interfaces considering accessibility, localization, and platform conventions
  • Apply brand guidelines and build a reusable EMP design system with Development
  • Clarify interactions with the Technical Product Owner and developers and support implementation, including error and exception states
  • Review implemented features for design quality and usability and support QA with test criteria
  • With Marketing & Growth, improve onboarding, activation, and recurring usage and evaluate impact through tests and data
  • Embed user-centered practices and make research insights and design decisions accessible
  • Use AI tools selectively for exploration, prototyping, and research synthesis while protecting quality and confidentiality

Your profile

  • You have several years of experience in digital product design and UI/UX design, ideally for mobile applications and transaction-oriented products – preferably in international context or mobility-related usecases
  • Your portfolio demonstrates how you have investigated user problems, developed solutions, and supported their implementation and impact. Your own contribution and decisions are clearly evident
  • You are proficient across the entire design process—from user research and concept development to interaction and interface design, handover, and implementation support
  • You have practical experience with user interviews and usability testing and can select suitable methods for the question at hand
  • You can make complex processes easy to understand and also consider error scenarios, limited connectivity, and different usage contexts
  • You have built or further developed design systems and understand the requirements for reusable components and consistent interaction patterns
  • You have strong knowledge of accessible design and designing for iOS and Android
  • You can combine qualitative insights with quantitative product data and derive prioritized design actions
  • You work closely with Product Management and Development, explain decisions clearly, and find viable solutions within technical and commercial constraints
  • You are willing to travel regularly within EDRI’s European markets to collaborate with country teams and partners
  • You communicate confidently in English
