Project overview:

Join our international team and help us to create software for one of the biggest and most important projects in Deutsche Telekom Group. Being part of our team, you will have an impact on our 30 million Customers in Germany, who will use our product to request Fiber network access and products to their homes and company buildings and to track our progress of installing the fibre networks. Our product is a set of completely new and re-designed IT process and websites to support end-to-end processes.

We founded a Digital Hub called “Gigabit Business System” to foster these new marketing and sales processes in order to win customers already before rollout of the fiber infrastructure. This completely new business approach comprises presales activities, customer driven infrastructure rollout, real-time fulfillment in the case of connected homes and many more features.

We work internationally with more than 30 scrum teams based on the “SAFe 5 for Lean Enterprises” framework and recommendations, but are currently on the way to change to "Less" framework. Our agile mindset enables us to start with minimal viable products (MVP) and improve them incrementally according to customers & internal feedback.

We are looking for a Software Developer Fullstack (SW Dev. FS) to join our agile scrum team "Falcon" in our Gigabit project, who is able and willing to switch between frontend and backend development, depending on current backlog items. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining microservices that support the ordering and commissioning of fiber internet (Gigabit) connections as well as building responsive and user-friendly front-end.

• Skill level: We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with working experience in frontend development as well.
• working mode:  Scrum/ SAFe (with current change to LeSS)
• language: project language is English, team language is English, but we also have colleagues who speak German and Slovak

(The development and QA team is located in Slovakia; PO and Process Desginer are from Germany)

• travel internationally at least once a year (PIP)
• are ready for on-call duty also at night / on weekend, e.g. during releases

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Microservice Development: Design and implement self-contained backend microservices (e.g., BFF components, commissioning services) using Java and Spring Framework, encapsulating business logic for fiber internet order processing
• API Development: Develop and maintain REST APIs following Deutsche Telekom IT REST Guidelines, including proper versioning, OpenAPI specifications, and breaking change management
• Process Orchestration: Work with BPMN process engines (Camunda 7/8 or jBPM) to manage order state and execution flows
• System Integration: Integrate with internal and external systems via REST APIs and event-driven communication (Kafka / AMQ)
•  Resilience & Reliability: Apply resilience patterns including retry mechanisms, idempotency, graceful failure handling, circuit breakers, and proper timeout management
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement technical and business metrics, logging, and distributed tracing (ELK Stack, Jaeger, Prometheus/Grafana) to ensure system health
• Code Quality & Testing: Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and ensure automated vulnerability scanning
• Frontend Development: Implement and maintain scalable web applications using Angular, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
• UI Implementation: Translate UI/UX designs provided by external agencies into working fronted features

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU :

• Have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework
• Have experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular
• Understand CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and change/configuration management processes
• Have experience with JUnit and are familiar with testing frameworks such as Mockito and WireMock
• Have a solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git (GitLab), including pipeline configuration
• Possess strong SQL skills, especially with PostgreSQL
• Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Communicate confidently in English at a B2 level or higher
• Experience with code quality and static analysis tools such as SonarQube
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and workflow automation tools such as Camunda or jBPM
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Salary

3100 - 3700€/ brutto.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100 € /brutto.
