At Healthdirect Australia, we help Australians access trusted health information, advice and care through our national virtual health services.

About the opportunity

The National Health Services Directory (NHSD) is a joint initiative of Australian governments, delivered by Healthdirect Australia, enabling health professionals and consumers to access reliable and consistent information about health services.

We are seeking a Data Analyst to strengthen forecasting, analytics, reporting and data management for the NHSD. You will deliver insights that improve data quality, operational performance and decision-making, while supporting BI capability and data-driven improvements across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop forecasting frameworks and predictive models to support routine analysis, recommendations and business decision-making.
  • Analyse trends, identify new data items and work with stakeholders to incorporate them into BI systems and reporting.
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity and usability of NHSD data through effective data management, engineering and source review practices.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that provide timely analysis of data quality, service performance and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide insights that support service efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement.

About You

You are an experienced data analyst who turns complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and can influence stakeholders through sound analysis and judgement.

What you'll bring to the role

  • 5+ years' experience in data modelling, extraction, reporting, dashboarding and working with complex relational datasets.
  • Experience with Python, advanced Excel, statistical modelling and analytical methods.
  • Experience or knowledge of AWS and BI tools such as Qlik.
  • Proven ability to prepare and present analysis directly to customers and stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics, science, engineering, business, economics or a related field.
  • Experience or knowledge of Databricks is desirable.
