About us:
Multiplier empowers companies to hire, onboard, manage, and pay talent in 150+ countries, quickly and compliantly. Our mission is to build a world without limits, where ambitious businesses can look beyond borders to build their global teams.
Our unified employment platform brings together EOR, AOR, and Global Payroll products. Integrations are a key part of that experience: connecting customers’ existing HR and payroll systems to Multiplier, reducing manual work and making sure essential employee data gets where it needs to be, on time.
We’re backed by Sequoia, DST, and Tiger Global, and we’re looking for an Engineering Manager — Integrations & Partnerships to lead the team building and scaling these connections.
What will I be doing?
- Own and drive integrations delivery – Lead development from understanding customer and partner needs through to launch and ongoing operation. Build integrations that simplify onboarding, save customers hours of manual effort, and help win new business.
- Architect, build, and scale reliable integrations – Guide the design of API integrations and data flows between Multiplier and external platforms. Solve for missing data, API limitations, and different customer configurations without turning every implementation into a bespoke engineering project.
- Lead and develop the engineering team – Mentor engineers, give clear feedback, and support their growth. Build ownership of delivery, technical quality, and the reliability of the integrations they operate.
- Navigate priorities and dependencies – Work closely with Product, Partnerships, customer-facing teams, and external technical counterparts. Make practical trade-offs, unblock delivery, and keep stakeholders aligned when requirements or dependencies change.
- Own operational reliability and data protection – The data we handle affects people’s employment and pay. Establish effective monitoring, error handling, and recovery processes so issues are caught and resolved early. Ensure sensitive employee data is handled securely.
- Stay technically involved – Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and complex troubleshooting. Help the team build reusable capabilities while knowing when a focused solution is enough.
- Hire and strengthen the team – Recruit engineers with strong technical judgement and a sense of ownership. Create an environment where people collaborate, learn, and take responsibility for customer outcomes.
What do I need?
- Proven engineering leadership – Experience managing engineering teams, developing people, and taking responsibility for delivery and operational quality.
- Experience with third-party integrations – A track record of building and operating API integrations with external platforms. You understand the practical realities of inconsistent data, authentication, rate limits, evolving APIs, and customer-specific configurations.
- Strong backend engineering depth – Experience building distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. You can assess technical trade-offs and stay hands-on when needed.
- A practical approach to varied customer needs – You can identify what belongs in a shared capability and what needs a specific solution, keeping engineering effort proportionate to the customer impact.
- Strong prioritisation and stakeholder management – You’re comfortable working through ambiguity, coordinating across teams and organisations, and pushing for clarity. You can balance urgent customer needs with longer-term improvements.
- An operational and security mindset – Experience with cloud infrastructure, monitoring, incident handling, and secure data exchange. You think about how systems fail, how the team finds out, and how to recover safely.
- Customer focus – You connect engineering decisions to outcomes: less manual work, faster onboarding, accurate data, and reliable payroll. Experience with HR, payroll, or other business-critical data integrations is a plus.
What We Offer:
- A high-impact role leading integrations that directly affect customer experience and business growth.
- Autonomy and ownership, with a fully remote role based in Serbia.
- Work with a collaborative and diverse team.
- Competitive benefits, recognition programs, and career development opportunities.
- Attractive ESOPs, giving you a stake in the company’s success.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for you and your family’s well-being.
- Generous holiday policy.
- A company that invests in your professional success.
