The Network Implementation Engineer - Project Manager is responsible for the overall implementation, deployment, and technical delivery of Greenfield & Brownfield fiber and ILA deployments into the Meta production environment. Activities will include project managing the day-to-day activity of network development projects in North America, managing partners/contractors against deliverables, identifying and mitigating project risks and developing and managing project budgets to ensure on-time delivery of the network to the business. In this role, you will collaborate with Network Development, Network Planning, Edge Network Deployment, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Project management of fiber construction and ILA projects across North America via direct and indirect management of partner vendors
  • Coordinate and manage build partners, engineering and construction firms, and associated project budgets mitigating risk for the project through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnership
  • Coordinate and manage ILA production and deployments across North America
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement long-term infrastructure build plans, considering construction timelines, ROW feasibility, and budget needs
  • Support tracking and management of ROW and permit acquisition process in conjunction with an accelerated deployment schedule of design and construction
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Net/Dev on new project opportunities, potential partner or vendor identification, buildability and high-level project budget
  • Receive new projects at the implementation stage via project kickoff document, including full end-to-end requirements in support of the milestone project review
  • Drive quality assurance and quality control of project management system updates and reporting
  • Service delivery of Project deliverables to Meta cross-functional teams, including all end-to-end elements in support of MPRs as applicable
  • Development of fiber acceptance and project closeout packages in accordance with Meta standards
  • Technical delivery and acceptance from vendors of fiber specs, interpretation of OTDR traces, and project closeout packages
  • Work closely with finance to develop business plans, budgets, and forecasts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
  • 2+ years of project management experience with a focus on telecom and/or utility construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or equivalent practical experience
  • Project management expertise across large-scale projects
  • Experiencing negotiating with vendors, partners, or contractors to resolve project issues and reach agreements
  • Experience managing multiple cross-functional tasks and projects with accurate tracking and documentation
  • Understanding of key project milestones for the I.L.A. and/or fiber construction projects
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, with experience using spreadsheet tools and/or programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Knowledge of capital budget management. (i.e.-project forecasting, management of accruals)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

$106,995/year to $159,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
