The Producibility & Prototyping Center is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineering Financial Analyst to join the Hardware Engineering Finance team. This senior analyst will serve as a strategic business partner to Engineering leadership, supporting financial planning, execution, and reporting for a technically complex portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes in a dynamic environment.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary financial partner to Engineering managers across Producibility & Prototyping, supporting development, sustainment, and program execution activities.
  • Lead development of Engineering cost forecasts as well as annual operating plans (AOP)
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate labor utilization, investment, and overhead outlooks, identifying risks/opportunities and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Provide actionable financial insights through analysis of actuals, variances, performance trends, and key drivers.
  • Maintain and improve cost models, reporting tools, and business processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and decision support.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reviews to Engineering and Finance leadership.
  • Support quarterly Pool EAC reporting while delivering timely, data‑driven insights for Pool owners
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and government accounting standards.
  • Mentor junior analysts and assist in building finance capabilities across the team.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Working experience with SAP and/or APEX and/or similar financial systems
  • Working experience with MS Office tools including Excel

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting Engineering organizations within a defense, aerospace, or technology environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS principles and government contracting.
  • Finance experience, preferably in FP&A, program finance, or engineering finance.
  • Experience with financial modeling, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience in process optimization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
