Network Engineer
Location: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required
Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to support forward deployed mission operations at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. In this role, you will design, optimize, secure, and sustain large scale enterprise networks supporting critical Department of Defense communications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with complex routing and switching, DoD communication systems, and enterprise network engineering in mission critical environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), firewall, and Network Management System (NMS) activities in accordance with Government guidance.
- Manage advanced Cisco routing and switching for enterprise networks consisting of more than 700 Cisco routers and switches.
- Configure cryptographic devices and advanced routing protocols, including Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
- Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletins (IAVBs), and implement required remediation.
- Support local network infrastructure and telecommunications circuits ranging from T1 through OC 192.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend improvements to the Government that enhance the security environment.
- Provide onsite engineering support for operational mission environments.
- Provide technical assistance to remote Hopper Global Communications Center (HGCC) divisions. Travel may be required to Guam, Japan, Bahrain, Italy, Spain, Australia, South Korea, and Singapore.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, an engineering discipline, or a technical discipline with 8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (in DISS).
- Active IAT or IAM Level II/III DoD approved 8570 baseline certification , such as a Security+, CCNA, CISSP, etc.
- Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification (or the ability to obtain within 30 days of an offer acceptance).
- Engineering experience supporting DoD communication systems and networks.
- Expertise in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, specifically Layers 1 through 4. Knowledge of systems and applications operating at the higher OSI layers is essential to the continued success of HGCC N31 and its supported customers.
- Expertise with Cisco enterprise networking, cryptographic devices, and large scale routing optimization.
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Azure Firewalls.
- Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) with TACACS+, and GEMOne.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
