About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field, with a bachelor’s degree preferred
- A minimum of five years of experience in a comparable role, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of the education requirement
- Experience with business accounting and project administration functions
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to assess, interpret, and organize complex data
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and Microsoft Project for financial tracking and planning is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify financial discrepancies and recommend solutions
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, particularly when conveying complex financial information
About the Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will:
- Facilitate the monthly billing process and serve as a liaison among Accounting, the Market Analyst, and Project Managers
- Analyze project data and provide clear reporting to Project Managers and project teams, including budgets, spent and planned labor, and expenses
- Assist with resource planning and prepare project revenue projections
- Coordinate consultant activities, including setup, contracts, insurance compliance, and expense tracking
- Manage project system setup, maintenance, and closeout
- Administer project contracts and support related documentation and compliance requirements
- Ensure project insurance remains current and complies with the requirements of each project contract
- Compile and calculate data to support fee proposal development
