About the Role
Stealth Entry is hiring an experienced IT Consultant 2 for our client, the State of Ohio, to serve as Salesforce Architect for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of an extension. You will own all aspects of the agency’s Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment, including configuration, customization, application implementation, and third-party integrations. You will work closely with business teams and leadership to build Salesforce solutions that support their processes and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Work with business teams to understand their processes and translate their needs into Salesforce requirements for configuration and development.
- Support the full project lifecycle, from kickoff and requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, and post-production support.
- Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the Force.com platform.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce solutions, and proactively identify needed system changes.
- Build and maintain workflows, Process Builder flows, Visual Flows, and other configurations.
- Develop and manage Experience Cloud (Community) sites.
- Design Salesforce forms for offline use with Survey123 or another native Salesforce utility.
- Design and build advanced reports and dashboards, including macro-driven reports for senior management, following reporting best practices that protect performance as data volumes grow.
- Build integrations between Salesforce and internal and external applications using ETL tools, web services, MuleSoft, and similar tools.
- Monitor exception logs for backend integrations, and troubleshoot and resolve system and partner integration issues.
- Import data with Data Loader and other Salesforce tools, and assist with migrating legacy systems and processes into Salesforce.
- Manage releases and deploy changes through sandboxes to production using Salesforce best practices.
- Unit test deliverables, develop test plans and user test cases, lead user acceptance testing, and validate results against requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation, including process and configuration documents, user guides, training materials, and change orders.
- Communicate system changes to users before implementation so they know what is changing and how to use it.
- Mentor and train State development staff.
- Advise leadership and stakeholders on Salesforce and other technologies, including options, risks, and costs versus benefits, to improve operational efficiency and the customer experience.
- Support recurring IT security audits of the system.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience, with consulting experience preferred
- Proven experience as a Salesforce architect or senior developer
- Hands-on experience with Lightning Aura Components, Apex programming, and Force.com APIs
- Experience with Salesforce declarative tools, including workflows, Process Builder, and Flows
- Experience building Salesforce integrations with ETL tools, web services, or MuleSoft
- Experience with Salesforce release management and sandbox-to-production deployments
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, problem solving, and stakeholder communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Experience with Experience Cloud (Community) sites
- Experience with Survey123 or offline Salesforce forms
- Experience in an IT department or consulting firm with broad exposure across technology areas
- State or public sector experience
- Salesforce certifications (such as Application Architect, Platform Developer I/II, or Administrator)
