Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust and scalable database automation solutions. Advise software engineers on database internals. Execute and build automation around database benchmarking. Code database management tooling in PL/SQL and Java. Define specifications for database specific roadmap items. Solutions architecture of database systems for key customers. Perform on-call duties, including incident response, troubleshooting, and customer support. Present database best practices at conferences and workshops.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and five years of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) designing and developing distributed systems or cloud-based database services; (2) building automation frameworks or AI-powered tools for operational diagnostics, root cause analysis, or incident resolution; (3) developing and maintaining Oracle database solutions including performance tuning, configuration management, and high availability architectures; and (4) implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code to support automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of production services.
