The Database Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server database engines and associated services like SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS. They will also troubleshoot performance issues, manage system monitoring, and provide on-call support for production environments.

Full description
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Troubleshoot databases, schemas, and user accounts
- Investigate and resolve performance issues
- Respond to production impacting interruptions/outages when able (at any time of day).
- Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.
- Create and maintain user facing and technical documentation for the usage and administration of the systems.
- Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement processes for application and system monitoring.
- Responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; update the team with the best in class technologies.
- Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- 5 Years experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases (2014 – 2019)
- Passionate about problem solving and improvement, analyzing information.
- Self-motivated and able to work well with limited direction and supervision
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Detail oriented, organized with sense of ownership of area of responsibility
- Flexibility to work shift schedules and on-call duties as required
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 – 2019), particularly in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SSIS, SSAS and/or SSRS.
- Experience working with a large-scale Virtualized Server Environment.
- Advanced T-SQL knowledge. Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience working with large dataset strategies (partitioning, etc.)
- Experience with Availability Groups and SQL Server Replication
