Role:
The Enterprise Solutions Engineer designs, develops, and supports enterprise technology solutions that enable critical business capabilities across the Credit Union. The role holds primary responsibility for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, including platform administration and development, as well as enterprise integrations built on MuleSoft and APIs.
This position partners with business stakeholders and technology teams to translate strategic and operational needs into scalable, secure, and well-governed solutions. The engineer contributes to architecture decisions, ensures effective data integration across systems, and supports reliable, high-performing production environments.
Overall, the role is instrumental in advancing the Credit Union's digital capabilities, enhancing member and employee experiences, and driving operational efficiency through modern, integrated platforms.
Location: Our headquarters are based in Syracuse, NY. We work in a Hybrid Model requiring a minimum of 5 days in office per month.
The hourly pay range for this position is: $47.46-$71.17
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
30% Enterprise Solution Design & Development:
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications with a primary focus on Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and declarative tools.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce data models and technical solutions aligned to platform best practices.
- Contribute to solution architecture decisions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term sustainability.
- Configure and extend Financial Services Cloud capabilities, including customer data models, workflows, and relationship management features.
20% Integration & API Development (MuleSoft):
- Design, build, and support integrations across enterprise systems using MuleSoft and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Develop and maintain integration patterns, data mappings, and system connectivity standards.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data flows across Salesforce, core systems, and other enterprise platforms.
20% Platform Administration & Support:
- Perform platform administration activities, including user management, security configuration (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and environment governance.
- Provide Level 2/3 support, troubleshoot system issues, and implement timely resolutions to minimize business disruption.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and stability improvements.
20% Testing, Release Management & Governance:
- Develop and execute unit, system, and integration testing to ensure solution quality and stability.
- Participate in CI/CD processes, version control, and structured release management practices.
- Adhere to enterprise change control, security standards, and data governance policies.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration details, and operational procedures.
10% Collaboration, Advisory & Continuous Improvement:
- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and architects to refine requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
- Act as a technical mentor to junior team members and provide guidance on platform capabilities and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in enterprise application development, systems engineering, or platform delivery roles, including:
- Strong experience with Salesforce (development and administration)
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft or similar middleware platforms and API development is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting integrations across CRM, core systems, and data platforms in a regulated environment is desirable.
- Candidates with a combination of relevant experience and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer, Administrator, or Integration Architect certifications) may be considered.
- Candidates with equivalent formal certifications or professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, and Flow.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns, API design, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft.
- Understanding data modeling, system integration, and data governance principles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within defined timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
- High level of accountability, professionalism, and collaboration.
