General Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and responsible System Analyst with strong hands-on software development experience in .NET or Java and the ability to work effectively within an Agile delivery framework. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a global team environment, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, and supporting business-critical manufacturing and automation systems. This role will serve as the onsite IT business partner, translating business and manufacturing requirements into scalable system solutions, clear technical specifications, and reliable application support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operations, product, and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Design, develop, enhance, and support applications and interfaces that enable manufacturing operations and automation workflows.
- Support system integration across manufacturing applications, AMR/AGV fleet management platforms, equipment interfaces, databases, and other enterprise systems.
- Analyse manufacturing process flows, material movement requirements, and automation use cases to recommend practical solutions that improve productivity, traceability, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain system requirement specifications, technical design documents, interface specifications, test plans, deployment notes, and user support documentation.
- Collaborate effectively in a global and multicultural team environment and contribute actively across all phases of the SDLC.
- Provide application support, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for manufacturing automation systems and related business applications.
- Demonstrate a proactive mindset, take ownership of assigned tasks, and willingly assume additional responsibilities when required to support project delivery and operational priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant software engineering experience in roles such as System Analyst, Software Engineer, or Application Developer, preferably supporting enterprise or manufacturing systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in .NET or Java application development, preferably with REST APIs, web services, SQL, and relational databases.
- Proven experience in system integration, interface development, application troubleshooting, and production support for business applications.
- Experience with AMR or AGV automation solutions in a manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, or smart factory environment would be an added advantage.
- Experience with SECS/GEM is preferred.
- Must be able to work effectively within an Agile framework and with CI/CD methodologies.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation for application development, system integration, testing, deployment, and operational support would be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively in a global team environment, and engage constructively with operations and product teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex system or process issues.
- Proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented, with the willingness to take ownership of responsibilities and drive practical improvements that enhance production stability, operational efficiency, and automation performance.
- Knowledge of MES, equipment integration, industrial communication, fleet management systems, or semiconductor manufacturing operations would be an added advantage.
