DevOps Engineer

What Will You Do

  • Amazon AWS chops - EC2, auto-scaling, load-balancing, Lambda, Code-Deploy, being examples of the AWS services we use.
  • Launching and replicating clusters across various geos
  • High performance server hardening of instances against traffic spikes (legit and DoS attacks)
  • Routine snapshots/backups
  • IP/TCP/SSL/HTTP(S) Load balancing and auto-scaling
  • High-performance, low-latency hardening for DNS, Web, Proxy, NoSQL and SQL servers
  • Security hardening for DNS, Web, Proxy, NoSQL and SQL servers
  • Performance and health monitoring and alerting

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a scientific or technical discipline
  • 2-5 years of work experience in related roles
  • Expert Linux administration and AWS cloud services skills
  • Strong background in Networking protocols (specifically, DNS, HTTP(S), UDP/TCP, SSL)
  • Experience on Mysql, NoSql.
  • Expert Scripting skills
  • Familiarity with PagerDuty, DevOps processes & protocols a must
  • Familiarity with Docker, Chef, Cloud-formation a strong bonus
