DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Working closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help build, maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes while supporting multiple development teams.

This role is ideal for someone with solid commercial DevOps experience within the iGaming industry who enjoys automation, infrastructure and solving operational challenges. You will play a key role in improving scalability, reliability and deployment efficiency while helping to establish engineering best practices across the business.

Tasks

• Assist with capacity planning, infrastructure scaling and performance optimisation.

• Build, maintain and optimise GitHub CI/CD and deployment pipelines, including rollback and recovery strategies, to support multiple software development teams and projects.

• Provision, configure and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Deploy, configure and maintain containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, system health and application availability, and implement logging and alerting solutions.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Work closely with Software Engineers, QA and Product teams to automate and continuously improve the software delivery lifecycle, engineering workflows and operational processes.

• Ensure cloud infrastructure follows security best practices and internal standards.

• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes and operational procedures.

• Support and mentor junior members of the DevOps function as appropriate.

• Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule to ensure the reliability and availability of production systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' commercial DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure experience within the iGaming industry is essential.

• Strong experience managing AWS infrastructure with hands-on experience with GitHub CI/CD.

• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and GitOps practices.

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS), Helm and Docker.

• Experience with Bash, Python or similar scripting languages.

• Experience implementing monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.

• Good understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing and SSL certificates.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills and knowledge of cloud security best practices.

• Experience working within Agile software development teams.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable

• AWS certification.

• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Experience supporting high-traffic, 24/7 production platforms.

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or ELK.

• Knowledge of security scanning, vulnerability management and compliance.

• Knowledge and experience with other Cloud Providers would be considered as an asset.
