If you are a Senior Financial Analyst/Project Accounting professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! You can make an impact with a growing industrial software company, enjoying a flexible hybrid work schedule. Based in our Pittsburgh, PA location, you will be working for Emerson's Power and Water Solutions group as a critical partner with both the North American ("NA") projects team and finance team. Primary responsibilities include partnering with NA project operations for project reviews, assisting with the monthly financial closing process, as well as performing post-hoc reviews of NA sales and profitability. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Effectively partner with North America ("NA") project operations and its management teams to achieve common financial and operational goals.
  • Reviews projects with NA project operations and contract administration to ensure proper application of costs and recognition of revenue, including completing revenue recognition processes in Oracle and reconciling results.
  • Assist in reviewing monthly progress balances for reasonableness and recovery, as well as assisting in identifying and supporting execution on critical invoicing opportunities.
  • Interact effectively with and assist in coordinating the completion of external and internal audit visits.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget for the North American operations and in analyzing variances versus prior year for reasonableness. This also includes assisting in developing the manufacturing, projects, and regions cost center budgets and the annual standard costing rates.
  • Participate in other special projects and analysis as assigned, which includes, but not limited to, accounting system updates, Oracle changes related to changes in the business or acquisitions, and continuous improvement projects.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
  • Perform solid accounting and financial analysis
  • Multitask in a project-oriented environment with a commitment to delivering quality analysis to management. Articulate professionally and concisely with all levels of management and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or MBA
  • Project Accounting experience
  • Oracle and/or HFM experience
