Senior Network Engineer [Team Lead]

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with team leadership capabilities to join our organization in Singapore. In this role, you will lead a team of network engineers while driving the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure. You will combine technical expertise with strategic vision to ensure network reliability, security, and performance across our organization.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
• Design and implement scalable network architectures that support organizational growth and business objectives
• Oversee network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives to enhance performance and reliability
• Manage network security protocols, compliance requirements, and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical assets
• Monitor network performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement proactive solutions to prevent outages and degradation
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate incident response efforts to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT operations, security, and application teams to align network solutions with business needs
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate network technologies, and oversee budget allocation for network projects
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, standards, and best practices
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to support career development

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in network engineering and infrastructure management
• 3+ years of demonstrated team leadership and people management experience
• Advanced knowledge of network architecture, routing protocols, switching technologies, and TCP/IP networking
• Proficiency with enterprise networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent
• Strong expertise in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and access control implementations
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, and modern network design principles
• Proven ability to analyze complex network problems and implement efficient solutions
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
• Experience with network documentation tools and configuration management systems
• Preferred Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent advanced networking certification
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus
