About the Function 

Business Development is a newly established function within the North America zone responsible for leading Strategic and Transformation projects, driving Digital initiatives, enabling the Integrated Commercial Business Plan (ICBP), and supporting and governing the Annual Business Cycle (ABC/1YP) and zone Strategy. The function acts as a connective layer between commercial teams, functional leaders, and zone leadership — translating strategic priorities into structured plans and disciplined execution. 

Job Purpose 

The Senior Analyst, Business Development – Annual Business Cycle and Strategy will support, enable, and help govern the 1-3 Year Plans processes for the North America zone. This role connects Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure commercial and operation plans are aligned, well-governed, and grounded in a disciplined planning cadence — enabling the zone to translate strategy into an executable, trackable plans. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities 

 

Annual Business Cycle (ABC/1-3YP) 

  • Support the planning, coordination, and governance of the Annual Business Cycle (ABC) and One/Three-Year Plan (1-3YP) processes for the zone, ensuring timelines, templates, and deliverables are met. 
  • Prepare high-quality materials (analyses, decks, scorecards) that support leadership decision-making during planning and business review cycles. 
  • Act as a trusted business partner and connective point across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, building strong relationships that enable alignment without formal authority. 
  • Translate commercial strategy (innovation, distribution, pricing, promotion) into clear planning inputs and ensure they are reflected accurately. 

 

Expected Experience & Required Skills 

Experience 

  • Experience in commercial planning, marketing or sales strategy, category/business planning, IBP/S&OP, or related commercial roles. 
  • Experience with formal business planning cycles (IBP, S&OP, AOP/1YP, or similar) preferred. 

 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Commercial background: Commercial acumen with the ability to connect demand, investment, and financial drivers to business outcomes; comfortable working with revenue, volume, and margin data. 
  • Project management: Strong organizational and planning skills; able to manage multiple complex workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders concurrently. 
  • Digital savviness: Comfortable working with planning tools, dashboards, data analytics and AI platforms; curious about how digital tools and AI can streamline commercial planning. 
  • Flexibility & comfort with ambiguity: Able to operate in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and adjust quickly as priorities and business conditions evolve. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into clear, decision-ready insights. 
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills: Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and AI platforms; familiarity with planning/ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$89,800.00 - $112,200.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
