Full description

The purpose of this role is to support the Director of Finance with:

1. The financial management and oversight of donor-funded and restricted funding programmes, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organisational policies.

2. Oversee global grant administration activities within Salesforce, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of grant and funding data.

3. Support the planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of Special Project budgets, working closely with project leads to ensure effective financial management and delivery within approved funding levels.

Applications for this role will close on Sunday 18th September. The salary range for this role is between £45,000 - £48,000 and it is a 1-year fixed term contract.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

  • Partner with the Director of Finance, Financial Controller, Core Operating Group, and wider Finance team to support financial planning, reporting, and strategic projects.
  • Lead grant and donor finance processes, including proposal costings, financial reporting, compliance, due diligence, and restricted fund management.
  • Manage and oversee grant administration within Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, funding allocations, budgets, forecasts, and expenditure records.
  • Review grant requests, Gift Aid claims, giving journals, and fund allocations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Provide financial analysis, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting support to operational departments and regional teams.
  • Lead monthly income pipeline reviews, reconciliations, and restricted fund allocations, working closely with Fund Development and Finance teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, processes, and special projects, including change management, stakeholder engagement, training, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Recognised senior accounting (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or/and Business Analyst (BCS) qualification
  • Combining strong knowledge of finance and accounting with project management experience
  • Excellent multitaskers and good attention to detail
  • Experience of project management in a finance environment
  • High level of computer literacy with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Clear, concise report writing and verbal presentation skills – able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation and major donors
