Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in managing and optimizing our infrastructure and deployment processes, ensuring high availability and performance of our services. The Case IQ and Lextegrity product suites process millions of transactions, providing risk scores and insights that help compliance users prioritize reviews and proactively avoid risks like fraud, corruption, and bribery.
What You'll Do
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our infrastructure across Azure and AWS, ensuring the seamless operation of services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker Swarm, Azure Application Insights, Amazon ECS, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, Application Load Balancers (ALB), API Gateway, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and more. Support platform administration and security while identifying cost-optimization opportunities as we scale.
- Deployment Automation: Develop and manage CI/CD, automating deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- AI-Enabled Operations and Development: Drive the adoption of vibe coding, agentic SDLC, and AIOps practices to improve development velocity, observability, incident response, automation, and platform operations.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and observability metrics and implement improvements to ensure the high availability and scalability of the compliance monitoring platform.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security and compliance best practices, ensuring all systems and processes adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with QA to define a testing strategy that empowers them to run automated tests and deploy to their own environments and enables high confidence in functionality with each deployment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of new features and updates.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve system incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability of our services.
Who You Are
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience with Azure and AWS services and infrastructure as code. Solid familiarity with containerization technologies, particularly Docker. Experience operating modern SaaS web applications, including auto-scaling, load balancing, gateways, monitoring, observability, and secrets management. Multi-cloud experience is a plus.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Azure and AWS infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform and CDK) for managing cloud resources.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Proven experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Github Action and Jenkins, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- AI-Enabled Operations and Development: Experience with and knowledge of vibe coding, agentic software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, and AIOps tools for intelligent monitoring, incident response, automation, and operational optimization.
- Security Practices and Acumen: Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in cloud environments. Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 web application security risks and a strong understanding of software security principles.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and engage stakeholders across the organization.
What Success Looks Like
- 30 Days: Complete onboarding and required security/compliance training. Build a strong understanding of Case IQ’s platform architecture, cloud environments, deployment processes, observability tools, current infrastructure priorities, and incident-management practices.
- 60 Days: Begin contributing to infrastructure maintenance, CI/CD improvements, monitoring, and deployment workflows with support from the team. Identify quick wins related to reliability, security, documentation, automation, or cost optimization.
- 90 Days: Independently manage assigned infrastructure and deployment work, troubleshoot common production issues, and contribute to reliable, well-documented releases. Partner effectively with Development and QA to improve deployment confidence and environment readiness.
- 6 Months: Deliver meaningful improvements to platform reliability, scalability, observability, security, or deployment efficiency. Help advance infrastructure-as-code, automated testing/deployment practices, and AI-enabled operational workflows.
- 1 Year: Serve as a trusted DevOps partner across Engineering—strengthening the stability, security, and scalability of the platform; reducing operational friction and incident risk; and helping shape a mature, automation-first, AI-enabled SDLC.
