Role and Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project management for e‑commerce and digital project implementation.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for e‑commerce platforms and deployment best practices.
- Guide customers on solution design, implementation approach, and platform capabilities.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors for data integration, APIs, and solution components.
- Oversee overall project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and cross‑team communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical and functional direction to internal and customer teams.
- Understand duty‑free product categories, pricing rules, promotions, and tax‑free regulations.
- Align digital catalog with physical store inventory, SKU mapping, and stock accuracy.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, Shopify partners, payment providers, and airport authorities.
- Ensure alignment between business goals, technical delivery, and operational readiness.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Oversee testing cycles: functional, integration, UAT, performance, and security testing.
- Ensure compliance with airport IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy regulations.
- Manage go‑live readiness, cutover planning, and post‑launch support.
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the full lifecycle of the airport duty‑free e‑commerce project, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Drive project planning, sprint management, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with airport IT, duty‑free retail teams, vendors, and integration partners.
- Ensure compliance with airport security, regulatory, and operational standards.
Technical Ownership
- Act as SME for the e‑commerce platform (WooCommerce ,Shopify or similar), integrations, and backend architecture.
- Oversee API integrations with POS, ERP, inventory systems, payment gateways, loyalty systems, and airport operational systems.
- Work closely with developers to ensure scalable architecture, secure data flows, and high‑availability infrastructure.
- Validate technical designs, solution architecture, and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
Project Management Skills
- 10–15 years of experience in technical project management or solution delivery.
- Experience delivering retail or airport e‑commerce projects is a strong advantage.
- Strong documentation, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
