Full description

The Business Intelligence Manager owns and connects Sunrise Irrigation’s business technology systems, improves how those systems work together, and reduces manual administrative work through automation, integrations, data, and artificial intelligence (AI).

This position serves as Sunrise’s internal expert for all company’s core business platforms. The Business Intelligence Manager works directly with department managers to understand operational challenges, identify inefficient or repetitive processes, and build practical technology solutions.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both technology and business operations. The goal is not simply to maintain software. The goal is to use technology to help Sunrise operate smarter, faster, and more efficiently as the company grows.

This position is not a traditional IT help desk position. The primary responsibility is not troubleshooting computers, printers, basic password issues, or routine hardware problems. While the Business Intelligence Manager may help coordinate technology resources when necessary, the primary focus of this position is business systems, integrations, automation, AI, data, reporting, and operational improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ServiceTitan Management & Optimization

  • Serve as Sunrise Irrigation’s primary internal ServiceTitan expert.
  • Manage and improve ServiceTitan configurations, forms, workflows, permissions, reporting, and system settings.
  • Troubleshoot system and workflow issues and coordinate with ServiceTitan support when needed.
  • Identify ServiceTitan features and capabilities that Sunrise is not fully utilizing.
  • Develop system standards and best practices across departments.
  • Train managers and key users on ServiceTitan processes, reports, tools, and new functionality.
  • Partner with department leaders to continuously improve how ServiceTitan supports business operations.

Systems Integrations

  • Manage integrations and data connections between ServiceTitan, ADP, RingCentral, AI tools, and other business platforms.
  • Use APIs, webhooks, middleware, and other integration tools to connect systems.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate duplicate data entry and disconnected processes.
  • Monitor integrations and troubleshoot failures or data inconsistencies.
  • Evaluate new technology based on its ability to integrate with Sunrise’s existing systems.

Automation & Artificial Intelligence

  • Identify repetitive, manual, and administrative work that can be automated.
  • Build and maintain automations using APIs, AI, workflow tools, and other available technologies.
  • Work with managers to identify high-value automation opportunities within their departments.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and determine where they can provide practical business value.
  • Develop solutions that improve productivity while maintaining appropriate security, accuracy, and human oversight.
  • Measure the results of automation projects, including time saved, errors reduced, and improvements in efficiency.

Internal Applications, Dashboards & Tools

  • Build, configure, or manage internal applications, dashboards, reporting tools, and workflow solutions.
  • Translate operational needs into practical technology solutions.
  • Develop tools that give managers better access to the information they need to run their departments.
  • Work with outside developers or technology partners when a project requires additional technical resources.
  • Test and validate new tools before company-wide implementation.

Forms & Workflow Improvement

  • Create and improve digital forms, approval processes, and workflows across departments.
  • Review existing processes to identify unnecessary steps, delays, duplicate work, and manual handoffs.
  • Design workflows that improve consistency, accountability, and visibility.
  • Help departments move appropriate paper, spreadsheet, email, and manual processes into scalable digital workflows.

Business Intelligence & Data

  • Develop reports and dashboards that provide leadership and managers with meaningful operational information.
  • Connect data from multiple systems when needed to provide a more complete view of company performance.
  • Improve the accuracy, accessibility, and consistency of business data.
  • Establish common definitions and standards for key business metrics.
  • Turn operational data into useful information that supports better management decisions.

Systems Architecture & Documentation

  • Maintain documentation of Sunrise’s business systems, integrations, workflows, permissions, automations, and system dependencies.
  • Create process maps and technical documentation for critical systems.
  • Establish system standards and change-management practices.
  • Ensure important system knowledge is documented so Sunrise is not dependent on one person’s knowledge.
  • Maintain appropriate controls around system access, permissions, and sensitive company, customer, and employee information.

Manager & Leadership Resource

  • Work directly with department managers to understand operational challenges.
  • Help managers determine whether a business problem can be solved through technology, automation, process improvement, or better use of an existing system.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solutions.
  • Prioritize projects based on business impact, urgency, scalability, and available resources.
  • Provide leadership with recommendations regarding systems, technology investments, automation, AI, and future capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Strong understanding of business software, systems integrations, APIs, databases, automation, and workflow technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business processes and translate operational problems into technology solutions.
  • Experience building or managing system integrations and automated workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects from initial concept through implementation.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical managers and employees.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work across departments and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential company, customer, and employee information appropriately.

Preferred

  • ServiceTitan experience or experience with a similar field-service management platform.
  • Experience integrating HRIS/payroll, CRM, communications, financial, or operational systems.
  • Experience with ADP, RingCentral, AI platforms, or similar business applications.
  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks, SQL, databases, reporting platforms, and workflow automation tools.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code development platforms.
  • Experience developing dashboards, internal applications, or business reporting solutions.
  • Experience working in a growing, multi-location service organization.

ServiceTitan experience is preferred but not required. More importantly, Sunrise is looking for someone who can learn complex systems, understand operations, identify inefficient processes, and build solutions instead of simply maintaining software.
