About the Role: We are looking for an Expert Embedded Software Developer to join a collaborative engineering team working on the next generation of telematics products and connected vehicle services.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of an advanced embedded information system that communicates with vehicle systems as well as cloud and back-office platforms. The solutions support areas such as Fleet Management, Uptime Services, and other connected vehicle services.
The organization is currently undergoing an exciting technology transformation, with a strong focus on new product development and building the future vehicle connectivity platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality embedded software using modern C++.
- Contribute to the architecture and development of next-generation telematics and connected vehicle solutions.
- Drive technical investigations and evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches.
- Perform requirements analysis and subsystem verification in collaboration with the development team.
- Design and contribute to robust software architectures for embedded systems.
- Work with Embedded Linux, including configuration, patch application, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams in an agile product development environment.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to communities of practice.
- Take ownership of technically challenging tasks and act as a technical leader when exploring new areas.
- Contribute to creating customer-focused solutions with high quality, reliability, and performance.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- 10+ years of professional experience in modern C++ development.
- 7+ years of experience in telematics product development or a closely related technical domain.
- 7+ years of experience in software architecture.
- Strong experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience with Yocto / OpenEmbedded.
- Solid experience with Embedded Linux, including basic configuration, applying patches, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Strong understanding of embedded software development and product engineering.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
