Job title: Graphic Designer Reporting to: Head of Design Working hours: Monday – Friday, 10am to 6pm Location: Bermondsey, London (4 days onsite, 1 day work from home) Salary: £33,000+ Benefits: Private Healthcare, Pension Scheme, Bonus Scheme

Outline We are looking for a Graphic Designer to support our in-house Design Team across all design assets, both digital and print for a wide range of projects and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a creative who can ensure brand consistency across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Design on day-to-day artworking tasks.
  • Interpret internal briefs in a creative way to establish solutions for design requirements across multiple departments such as Curatorial, Comms, Digital, Bookshop, Events.
  • Create Exhibition and Art Fair PDFs, supporting the curatorial and sales team.
  • Artwork lists of works and exhibition copy.
  • Create wall vinyl for the gallery spaces across worldwide locations.
  • Support the Exhibitions Team in creating bespoke visual outputs to enhance visitor experience.
  • Create digital invitations for gallery events.
  • Support creating bespoke assets for OOH events.
  • Artwork print stationary including business cards, comp slips, packing etc.
  • Create branded Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates.
  • Artwork digital banner ad campaigns to various formats.
  • Artwork print advertisements for magazines.
  • Create OOH adverts for global locations.
  • Support the Bookshop Team in creating signage for the gallery shop and bespoke solutions for special releases and campaigns.
  • Typesetting for print publications.
  • Knowledge of print profiles and packaging artwork for press.
  • Good understanding of repro and pre-press workflow.
  • Collaboratively out decks to illustrate design concepts for internal presentations.
  • Work closely with Head of Design to ensure all documents are delivered to standard and to deadline.
  • Offer creative input during brainstorming sessions.
  • Advocate for design best practices and be a guardian of house style.
  • Build strong connections with other departments to ensure compliance with our brand guidelines.
  • Maintaining a strong and consistent visual identity across all White Cube outputs.

Skills and Experience

  • BA in Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • 3+ years design experience in a design studio, agency or in-house.
  • Experience working within and established visual identity.
  • Fluent in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).
  • Good knowledge of Figma.
  • Motion graphics skills would be welcome, but now essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A strong eye for detail.
  • Good understanding of micro and macro typography.
  • Impeccable typesetting skills.
  • Confident with layout, hierarchy and composition across different formats.
  • Confident in both digital and print artworking.
  • Knowledge of print production and creative artwork processes.
  • Able to interpret guidelines accurately and deliver well executed designs to the highest standard.
  • Highly organised, methodical, able to multitask and good time management skills.
  • Able to manage own deadlines.
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to problem solve.
  • Effective communicator able to report progress and blockers to ensure timely delivery.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, able to collaborate in-teams and cross-departmentally.
  • Have an interest in contemporary art and working with artists.
