CSS Team Details
The Customer Success Services (CSS) team supports Oracle customers in managing and maintaining business-critical systems. The team works closely with customers to provide technical support, resolve production issues, improve database performance, and maintain high availability across Oracle environments.
Mandatory Skills
- 6–15 years of experience as an Oracle DBA or Database Engineer in production environments
- Strong experience in Oracle Database administration and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata architecture and administration
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC and ASM
- Experience in Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Data Guard, including Physical Standby, Active Data Guard, and Data Guard Broker
- Strong RMAN backup, restore, and recovery experience, including critical recovery scenarios
- Experience with database installation, upgrades, migration, and patching
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to performance, availability, RAC/ASM, backup and recovery, and patching
- Ability to handle critical production incidents under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused service and support mindset
- Willingness to work shifts and weekends when required
Good-to-Have Skills
- Oracle GoldenGate replication and troubleshooting
- ZDLRA administration or support
- Logical Data Guard experience
- Experience resolving Exadata-specific performance or patching issues
- Experience supporting large, highly available Oracle database environments
- Oracle Database, Exadata, or other relevant technical certifications

- Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases in production environments.
- Support Oracle Exadata, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN environments.
- Investigate and resolve database performance, availability, backup, recovery, and patching issues.
- Perform database installation, upgrades, migration, and patching activities.
- Handle critical production incidents and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
- Perform backup and recovery activities, including complex recovery situations.
- Monitor database health and recommend improvements for performance, availability, and reliability.
- Work with customers, support teams, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident reports.
- Participate in shift, weekend, and on-call support as needed.
