We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Technology team on an 18-month fixed-term contract, supporting a major Network Security & Connectivity Transformation Program. In this hands-on role, you'll design, implement, support, and optimise enterprise network services across a large multi-site environment spanning corporate offices, operational sites, data centres, and cloud platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support and enhance enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, internet and cloud networking environments.
  • Provide Level 3 technical support and resolve complex network, performance and security issues.
  • Deliver network and security projects including design, implementation, testing, migration and rollout activities.
  • Implement and support network segmentation, secure remote access, next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN and SASE solutions.
  • Manage and maintain Cisco Meraki and Fortinet network platforms.
  • Support Azure networking and hybrid connectivity solutions.
  • Develop documentation, standards, operational procedures and lifecycle management plans.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Service Desk, vendors and managed service providers to ensure secure and resilient services.

About You:

You're an experienced Network Engineer with strong enterprise networking expertise and a passion for delivering secure, reliable and scalable solutions across complex environments.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in enterprise network engineering within a large multi-site environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki switching and wireless technologies.
  • Advanced routing and switching knowledge (VLANs, OSPF, BGP, QoS, high availability).
  • Experience supporting WAN, VPN, internet and SD-WAN services.
  • Strong understanding of network security, firewalls and network segmentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

  • Fortinet technologies including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, SD-WAN and SASE.
  • Cisco Nexus and data centre networking experience.
  • Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Experience within healthcare, aged care or other critical service environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Cisco Meraki or Fortinet NSE.
