Job Summary:
Assistant Project Managers are responsible for supporting a lead Project Manager on various scopes of an overall project. Assistant Project Managers are designated to an account and will work closely with Project Managers as team members to assist in the management of construction and fabrication activities related to assigned projects.
This typically includes Smartsheet schedules, invoicing documentation, internal processes for production releases, coordinating the paperwork needed for design, permitting, and installation. They can also manage their own mid-sized projects with PM or Director oversight.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with multi-site healthcare rebrand with a strong emphasis in sign programs supporting various markets throughout the U.S.
Duties and expectations:
- Support project team with daily project coordination.
- Focused growth in the Healthcare & Corporate Branding industry
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned project scopes of work, schedules, budgets and deadlines
- Support multi-site projects with assigned clients or programs
- Review and update progress and cost reports, schedules and requirements for completion on a regular basis to support and assist the assigned Project Manager
- Maintain ERP and project records as it relates to submittals, RFIs, change requests, commitments, design log
- Communicate any project deviation to affected teams as quickly as possible to ensure accuracy of scope of work
- Review products specifications for quality control purposes before and after installation
- Coordinate design requests and engineering schedules
- Develop and update customer reports
- Travel to job site as needed
- Procure materials, tools and equipment and/or vendors as required
- Support, coordinate and manage sign installations and remediation plans
- Understand and track project gross profit margins and budgets to ensure these remain within estimated costs
- Enhanced assertive communication and negotiation skills
- Any other work assigned by the Directors of Project Management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering, construction or related field to project management
- At least two years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume professional office setting, supporting engineering, project management or construction
- Healthcare accounts, rebrand or program sign experience highly desirable
- Stable work history showing progression in responsibility and growth
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Work, Outlook
- Experience with Bluebeam for design input and Smartsheet or project scheduling software preferred
- Possible travel of up to 5-15%
- Consistently detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to communication at all levels of an organization effectively; orally and written
- Must be comfortable interacting with customers such as general contractors, engineers, architects and project owners
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities within establish deadlines
