Job Summary
The QA Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products, systems, and processes meet defined quality standards. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and ensuring continuous improvement in product and process quality. The QA Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing on software, hardware, or production processes depending on the industry.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and quality issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.).
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports with actionable feedback.
- Support validation, audits, and regulatory compliance activities as needed.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of QA documentation and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related area.
- Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Cypress).
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, ASQ, or Six Sigma – preferred.
