Sr. QA Automation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. QA Automation based in Brazil.

This is a senior quality engineering role focused on ensuring the reliability, functionality, and integrity of digital products through both manual and automated testing. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies across front-end and API layers, while identifying risks and potential defects early in the development lifecycle. The role combines hands-on automation with exploratory and functional testing in an agile environment. You will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to improve quality and delivery outcomes. Strong documentation and traceability will be essential to maintaining consistent testing standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to modern engineering practices while working remotely with multidisciplinary teams.

Accountabilities

• Plan and execute functional, exploratory, manual, and automated tests to validate product quality and reliability.

• Design clear, comprehensive test scenarios and test plans based on technical and functional requirements.

• Develop and maintain automated tests for front-end applications using Cypress and JavaScript.

• Perform API testing using tools and technologies such as Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, or equivalent solutions.

• Validate application behavior across different scenarios, identify risks, and report defects with clear documentation and traceability.

• Maintain and improve automation frameworks and testing practices to support efficient and repeatable quality assurance.

• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Support CI/CD quality practices using tools such as Azure DevOps and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

• Analyze test results, investigate issues, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a QA professional within agile software development teams.

• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing, including functional and exploratory testing.

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript and Cypress for test automation.

• Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of front-end and API test automation concepts and best practices.

• Ability to analyze technical and functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test plans.

• Experience documenting test cases, defects, and testing results with clarity and traceability.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to identifying defects and quality risks.

• Good communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for professional communication.
