Full description

To perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities at various stages of service realization in accordance with API Q1, API Q2, international standards, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and internal procedures, ensuring all products and services meet the highest quality standards before delivery to the end user.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure inspection and verification activities align with API Q2 requirements for Risk Assessment, Service Quality Plans (SQP) and Contingency Planning.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections as per drawings, work orders, route cards, specifications and OEM requirements.
  • Conduct and maintain accurate calibration and verification records for measuring and test equipment in compliance with API Q1 and API standards.
  • Support API Q1 requirements related to product realization planning, risk assessment, management of change (MOC) and control of production processes.
  • Identify, monitor and document critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics as required by API Q1 and API Q2.
  • Support the development and implementation of Service Quality Plans (SQPs), ensuring inspection checkpoints, acceptance criteria and objective evidence are documented.
  • Ensure all temporary and permanent changes are processed in accordance with API Q1 and API Q2 change management requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with competency, procedure adherence, equipment qualification and other controls defined under API Q1 and Q2.
  • Inspect purchased items, repaired tools and outsourced processed materials.
  • Maintain product identification, traceability and inspection status throughout all stages of operations.
  • Report nonconformities promptly to the QA/QC Supervisor or Manager and support Corrective Action (CA) per API Q1/Q2 processes.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration activities for critical equipment comply with API Q1 and API Q2 documentation and control requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits covering API Q1 and API Q2 elements and support timely closure of audit findings.
  • Verify all process documents—Call Out (Customer PO), Work Instructions, NDT Inspection reports, Service / test reports, Work Orders, Dimensional Inspection Reports, Drawings, Route Cards and Certificates of Conformity (COC) prior to product release.
  • Ensure documented information and records meet API Q1 and Q2 requirements for accuracy, completeness, retention, and control.
  • Authorized to stop unsafe, non-compliant, or high-risk operations.
  • Communicate product, process, or service risks to the QA/QC Supervisor as part of API Q1 and Q2 risk communication processes.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned, provided they are reasonable and aligned with competency.
  • The employee is responsible for performing duties in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures, and quality objectives
  • The employee has the necessary authority to make decisions within their scope of work and escalate issues as needed and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • The employee is accountable for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of their work, as well as for reporting any nonconformities or risks that may impact quality, legal compliances, safety, environment, or customer satisfaction.
  • Support and participate in achieving organizational QHSE objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

HSEQ System Requirements:

NABORS operates Quality Enterprise Management System (QMS) at all operational facilities to meet their business, legal and moral HSEQ obligations. All personnel are required to work in full compliance with the requirements set out in the NABORS Group QMS, this will include as a minimum.

  • Not undertaking any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
  • Promoting good health, safety and environmental practices throughout all company activities.
  • Wearing the assigned Personal Protective Equipment required.
  • Taking care to prevent harm to themselves, colleagues and others and the environment that may be caused by our acts or omissions.
  • Keeping the work area neat, organized & free of trip and other hazards.
  • Reporting hazards in plant, equipment and other work place, or short comings in the existing controls, to a superior without delay.
  • Attending Toolbox Talks, HSEQ meetings and trainings as and when required.

HSEQ Authority:

  • To report any unsafe behaviors to their immediate Supervisor or Safety representative. Where there may be conflict report directly to facility HSEQ Manager.
  • Authority on HSEQ grounds to stop operations or delivery of product on the existence of an immediate risk of harm to personnel or environmental pollution and damage to property.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role.
  • Hands-on experience with Inspection, Testing, Measuring, Monitoring & Detection Equipment (TMMDE).
  • Experience in calibration of TMMDE in accordance with API and applicable international standards.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection procedures, measurement techniques, and documentation
  • Effective communication skills; fluent in English reading and speaking.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team collaboration skillsAdaptability to changes in processes, priorities, and work environments.
  • Higher Secondary education or equivalent in Mechanical or similar Engineering discipline.
  • Prior experience working in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Familiarity with machine shop inspection processes.
  • Experience inspecting or working with downhole tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards beyond API (e.g., ISO, ASTM, DS- 1 Vol III & IV) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
