About the role:

We have an opportunity for a IT Project Manager on a contract bases in KL, Malaysia to support the IT Portfolio Manager throughout the transition of a new operating asset.

  • As an IT Project Manager you will lead the delivery of complex initiatives within technology and critical national infrastructure environments
  • You will take responsibility for shaping delivery structures, budget management, defining scope, coordinating resources, ensuring progress against agreed timelines and governance frameworks
  • This role is suited to someone who brings structure and confidence to technical programmes of work, communicates effectively across the business and technical teams and is comfortable delivering in regulated and safety critical contexts.
  • Drive end-to-end project delivery, ensuring scope, requirements, risks and dependencies are clearly defined and managed
  • Lead planning activities, oversee budgets and resource allocation, maintain delivery schedules and ensure reporting is accurate and aligned to governance expectations
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across business, vendors and technical teams to ensure alignment and decision clarity
  • Ensure risks, issues and change controls are identified early, managed effectively and communicated transparently
  • Establish strong working relationships with SME, solution architects, finance, BAs and other delivery partners, ensuring that deliverables meet all defined standards
  • Foster a disciplined and proactive delivery culture, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders and supporting readiness activities for deployment and post delivery.
  • Proven experience delivering projects within regulated, technical or complex enterprise environments, ideally within Energy, Utilities, CNI and operational technology domains
  • You will have strong planning, governance and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to navigate competing priorities and maintain delivery momentum
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies and be comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams. - Strong written and verbal communication is essential, along with the ability to provide clear reporting and facilitate effective decision making
  • A solid understanding of project delivery frameworks and regulatory considerations is crucial, and experience working within multi technical workstream programmes is preferred. - Professional certifications such as APM, PRINCE2 and Agile are preferred.
