Position Overview

Information Manager/Knowledge Manager to work as part of a dynamic Knowledge Management (KM) Team in support DoD Cyber Defense Command at Fort Meade, MD. As a key team member, you will support the operational information needs for real time cyberspace defensive operations that are executed across the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the forward extension of the KM team within the staff to enhance the effectiveness of KM efforts in the directorates.
  • Support the implementation of Knowledge Management efforts in the directorates across all domains - people, processes, and tools.
  • Serve as a Content Manager for specified directorates
  • Provide the ability to translate operational requirements into logical and integrated technical solutions; advise the staff members on holistic methodologies to accomplish their tasks and missions given their respective problem sets.
  • Provide the ability to design, document and orchestrate doctrinally sound processes to support operational mission requirements.
  • Proactively make recommendations for process enhancements and new process development.
  • Provide moderate technical expertise, oversight and control in communications, time management, quality assurance, quality control and management, process development and risk management. The contractor shall also provide a team that shall:
  • Provide support to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests from higher headquarters or through the task management system.
  • Provide support to Records Management efforts to include Development of “meta data tagging” efforts and developing structure.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Foundational working Knowledge in Information Management (IM) /Knowledge Management (KM)
  • SharePoint End User
  • Basic Understanding of SharePoint Out-of-the-Box Features
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • SharePoint experience with creating sites, editing pages, list items, and changing site permissions
  • Familiar with SharePoint Designer
  • Records Management Experience
  • Process Development
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

Salary Range

Based on the roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $120,000 - $160,000.

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
