Position Summary

The Health Plan Data Analyst, analyzes data to support fiscal performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. Collaborates interdepartmentally across fiscal, clinical, BI, and IT teams to design and maintain reports and workflows. Leverages tools including SQL, Python, Crystal Reports, Access, Tableau, NextGen, EZ-CAP, and SymKey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programs accurate, clear, and user-friendly reports tailored to stakeholder needs using SQL and Python
  • Maps, maintains, and improves data pipelines
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves data discrepancies to ensure data integrity
  • Joins data across warehouse tables and external sources
  • Develops effective, collaborative working relationships across the organization
  • Presents findings, analyses, and insights to technical and nontechnical audiences

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, engineering, or related field
  • Previous (1-2 years) experience with data analytics and programming
  • Excellent communication and follow-through
  • Prior understanding of claims processing and Medicare/Medicaid payments preferred
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgement
  • Ability to work in a fast page environment.
  • Flexibility and requirement to meet participants in their homes within the service area.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
