Senior QA Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Engineer based in India.

This is an opportunity to own quality across an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform used by thousands of professionals. You will test sophisticated workflows where conversational AI, automation, and data-driven functionality are embedded directly into everyday user experiences. The role combines hands-on manual and automated testing with AI evaluation, API testing, exploratory testing, and quality engineering. You will work closely with product managers and developers to identify issues early and help deliver reliable, intuitive, and safe experiences. You’ll have meaningful ownership over multiple product areas in a fast-moving, scaling environment. This role is ideal for a QA professional who enjoys solving complex problems and helping establish strong quality practices in an AI-first organization. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in India.

Accountabilities:

• Own quality across multiple product features, validating both technical functionality and overall user experience.

• Design, execute, maintain, and continuously improve manual and automated test plans covering diverse product workflows.

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and release testing in a fast-paced product development environment.

• Test AI-powered conversational experiences, chat workflows, and generative outputs for accuracy, consistency, reliability, and safe user interactions.

• Evaluate LLM-generated responses for correctness, edge cases, potential bias, and user-friendliness.

• Validate AI-driven workflows and automation capabilities that support professional and team productivity.

• Perform API testing and help identify integration issues across interconnected services.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to reproduce defects, investigate root causes, and support confident releases.

• Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuously improve QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Identify opportunities to strengthen testing coverage and proactively address quality risks.

• Champion a quality-first mindset and contribute to building a strong quality culture as the product and organization scale.

Requirements:

• 3–7 years of professional QA or software testing experience, ideally involving cloud-native, SaaS, or AI-powered applications.

• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or comparable technologies.

• Direct experience testing AI-driven systems, including AI agents, conversational AI, LLM-powered features, or generative AI outputs.

• Understanding of AI evaluation and validation, particularly around accuracy, consistency, reliability, safety, and bias.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially when testing unpredictable or dynamic AI-driven workflows.

• Ability to develop thorough test scenarios, identify edge cases, and assess complex user journeys.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality products.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills when working with engineering and product teams.

• Self-driven and proactive approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Comfortable working independently in a rapidly changing startup environment.

• Ability to balance speed of delivery with appropriate quality, risk management, and testing depth.
