What You’ll Be Part Of

As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the results of key plant indicators, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, for the product manufactured in the plant. You will apply the HPS philosophy, develop HARMAN skills in employees, and coordinate engineering activities to support product, process, documentation, and customer requirements.

Your Team

You will work closely with Sr. Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, Program Managers, Process Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, EHSS, and other cross-functional teams.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Support recurring internal and external meetings to track project progress.
  • Coordinate the generation and release of required documentation, including PFMEAs, flowcharts, Control Plans, Visual Aids, and related engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate the creation of purchase requests for equipment required for projects in collaboration with Process Engineering and Test Engineering.
  • Maintain project status using tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality systems and environmental management systems implemented in the company.
  • Coordinate process changes with Engineering teams and support timely implementation.
  • Coordinate product changes with Program Managers and support timely implementation.
  • Review and follow up on PLM status.
  • Review strategic points related to internal meetings and customer expectations.
  • Follow up with Program Managers on open points related to DV builds.
  • Follow up with Program Managers on open points related to PV runs.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through established communication channels.
  • Represent customer needs within internal functions according to Quality System requirements and Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Coordinate new model first runs, maturity gates, and compliance assurance activities.
  • Identify and record product and process changes in part history.
  • Participate in and provide support for quality systems management, objectives, targets, and programs.
  • Participate in and provide support for quality and EHSS systems management, objectives, targets, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of PFMEAs, BOMs, engineering changes, and documentation control.
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of experience coordinating new projects.
  • 5 years of experience implementing continuous improvement and excellence methods.
  • Advanced English level, including reading and writing skills that allow fluid presentations.
  • Knowledge of applicable customer-specific requirements.

  • This role is based in a manufacturing environment and requires close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and EHSS teams.
  • This position requires focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost indicators.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
  • If the position requires use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle, employment may be contingent upon meeting applicable driving record requirements.
