Full description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a WordPress / PHP Developer to join our team and support the maintenance, modernization, and evolution of enterprise web platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing WordPress solutions, implementing custom developments, and contributing to platform modernization initiatives. You will work closely with technical teams to ensure applications remain secure, scalable, and aligned with modern development standards.

The role combines WordPress development, PHP engineering, and application modernization, with a strong focus on platform migration, maintainability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve applications developed in:
  • WordPress
  • PHP
  • Design, develop, and support custom WordPress functionalities and integrations
  • Implement and maintain PHP customizations and extensions
  • Participate in platform migration and modernization projects
  • Execute PHP framework and platform upgrades
  • Improve application performance, stability, and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement enhancements and best practices
  • Ensure solutions follow coding standards and security best practices

Requirements

  • Strong experience with:
  • WordPress
  • PHP
  • Proven experience delivering WordPress-based projects in enterprise environments
  • Experience participating in:
  • Platform migration projects
  • Application modernization initiatives
  • Experience upgrading and maintaining PHP-based applications
  • Knowledge of PHP framework upgrades and compatibility management
  • Experience working with PHP 7.x environments and modernization paths towards newer versions
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Web application architecture
  • Software maintenance
  • Performance optimization
  • Ability to analyze existing applications and implement improvements
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Fluency in English
